Chache Cph is registered with the Danish Precious Metals Control Board, guaranteeing that our jewellery meets the highest quality standards. All our pieces are hallmarked with 'SMS' to confirm their authenticity, and '925' to certify sterling silver.

Our jewellery is also 100% nickel-free and gentle on the skin. It will not cause allergic reactions, unless you have a sensitivity to genuine gold or silver, which is rare.

What does it mean that a piece of jewellery is gold plated?

Gold plated jewellery consists of a core of 925 sterling silver coated with a layer of gold to give it an exclusive appearance. The thickness and shade of the plating can vary depending on the manufacturer.

At Chache Cph we use an extra durable plating with e-coating, ensuring a beautiful and long-lasting finish when the piece is cared for correctly. We have carefully selected a gold shade that appears elegant and harmonious, neither too yellow nor too reddish.

As with all gold plated jewellery, the coating will naturally wear over time. The durability depends on individual factors such as the skin's pH level, but with the right care you can maintain the lustre for a long time.

Why do silver jewellery pieces turn darker?

It is completely natural for silver jewellery to develop a darker surface over time. This is caused by oxidation, a chemical reaction that occurs when silver comes into contact with oxygen, moisture and dirt.

Fortunately this can easily be removed with a quick clean, restoring the piece to its original shine. We recommend regular care to maintain the beauty of the silver.
